Mission Statement

Plano Youth Soccer’s mission is to manage, serve, promote and provide, at the recreational and competitive levels, a safe and fun environment at a minimum cost for youths of all races, color, and creeds regardless of their social or financial status to participate in the sport of soccer.

PYSA's primary goal is to provide its members with the best possible soccer experience.


Overview

Plano Youth Soccer is affiliated with North Texas SoccerUS Youth SoccerUS Soccer, and the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). 

PYSA was established on February 2, 1976 by Hilton Hammack, Lonnie Patterson, and Douglas Neeley.

The league is home to 250 recreational and 500 competitive teams, playing at four different facilities in the City of Plano - Russell Creek Park, Carpenter Park, Cheyenne Park, and Jack Carter.

Plano Youth Soccer has hosted the Plano Labor Day Invitational Tournament (competitive)  for over 30 years.

George Ostrander has presided over PYSA as president since 2002.


Don Collins Memorial Scholarship

Plano Youth Soccer annually sponsors the Don Collins Memorial Scholarship for graduating seniors living within the Plano Independent School District.

The scholarship was created in memory of Mr. Don Collins, who was an original founder and past president of the Plano Youth Soccer Association.  

 Applications available beginning in January of each year.

All nominations must go through approval process by the “Nominations Committee” for verification of their qualifications and eligibility.  This rule also requires that the interested candidates must send their letter of intent in writing in order to be considered for any board positions to gina.white@pysa.org or pysanominationcommittee@gmail.com. The written request must be received 60 days prior to AGM date.
